"FALL"-ing for You Release!

It's reveal time again! "FALL"-ing for You is now available for you to download for free at DigitalArts Cafe! Included in the kit are 10 papers, 4 flowers, 3 buttons, 3 frames, 2 stitched fabric hearts, 2 ribbons, a 12" rikrak, a tag, a journal circle/matt, a harvest moon, a falling heart border, a tree and 2 quick pages!

A huge Thank You!

The vote is now finished at Stone Accents Studio, and.... I made it into Round 4!!!!!!!! So I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to vote for me!! Thank you so much, it really does mean the world to me!! This round was amazingly tough, everyone's kits were so fantastic, there wasn't a single one (in my opinion) that wasn't shop worthy.

I also want to say thank you for all your lovely comments on my kits, it's such a great feeling to know that my designs are appreciated!

When I started this contest I had only been designing for a couple of weeks, so I would have been happy to have just made it into Round 2, but now I have made it into the finals!! I really cannot believe that I have made it this far!

On the other side of things, the Round 4 submissions for DigitalArts Cafe Design It! contest are due today. My entry is a cute little autumn kit called "Fall"-ing for You, and you'll be able to grab that soon! I'll also have some add-ons and such that coordinate so keep checking back!

Here's a little "sneak peak" of "FALL"-ing for you, and my first attempt at a blinkie. Feel free to snag it, (right click, save as, and then upload it somewhere like photobucket) but please don't hotlink.

As a final note...

Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!!

Little Prince links fixed

I'm so sorry about all the trouble that I've been having with 4shared! The download links at DAC for Little Prince are fixed now!

New links for the Treasured Past Add On

I have no idea what is up with 4shared, I received a couple of emails that the links for the Treasured Past Add On and Little Prince weren't working. Thank you for letting me know!

I've uploaded the Treasured Past Add On again, you can get it here. I've also fixed the link in the original post.

I've also uploaded Little Prince again, but I can't change the download links at DAC, but I have emailed the new links to be updated, so I'll let you know when I know anything.

I think I am going to have to find a new file sharing site, that's 5 links now that have stopped working in the past couple of days, and that is just unacceptable. It's not fair to you guys and it takes up my time that I could be using designing. So if anyone has any recommendations for a new file sharing site I would love to hear them!

Remember if I get into the finals, there will be another free kit for you to download, so we both win!

For today's thank you I have a bracket album for you to enjoy!

2 Quick Pages and a LO!

Check out this sweet page that one of my friends, Annita, from Scrapbook Flair made using my kit, isn't it just precious! Click here to see the credits and leave Annita some love!

The vote has started over at Stone Accents Studio, so if you like my Treasured Past kit I would really appreciate it if you could please take a minute and cast a vote for it! (Vote is now closed) Only 10 contestants are moving on to the final round so every vote matters at this point.

And as a big thank you for checking out my entry I made up a quick page for you to use and enjoy!

I've also made up a quick page using Little Princess for you!

Little Princess - the Alpha!

Am I on a posting spree or what?! I have the 3rd part of the Little Princess kit for you today, a pink gel alpha! It's a full lower case alphabet with numbers and punctuations, and you get both the alpha and number sheet, as well as each letter and number as it's own .png.

Treasured Past Add-On

Lots of posts today LOL! What a palava this morning! Any way, I wanted to share an Add-on that I did for Treasured Past, there are 5 papers, an aged envelope, and aged photo edge, a family tree cluster and an old watering can! Hope you enjoy!

Link fixed...

Up and Running Again!!

Phew! After uploading the files again to 4shared, the links to Treasured Past are back up and working! I've updated the links for the elements and the papers in the gallery at Stone Accents Studio, so if you missed out go grab them now!!

Sorry for any inconvenience caused, everything should be fine now!

Technical Difficulties

It seems that there have been some problems with getting Treasured Past from 4shared. I'm not sure what's happened, but when I went to try to download it, I too got the error screen that everyone else has.

As far as I can tell, all the other links are working fine, I've downloaded a couple of others with no problems.

I do want to say thank you to everyone though! In the first 12 hours that the link was up (and working) there were 333 downloads!!! I am totally blown away how many downloaded my kit! Hmm, I wonder if that has anything to do with why the links won't work?

Any way, as I type this I am uploading the files to 4shared again. I am hoping that they will work then, but if not I'll have to find a new file sharing site and upload the kit there. So just bear with me, and I will update as soon as I can get working links!

Treasured Past Freebie

The time has come to release my next kit for the Next SAS-y Lady Contest! This week's challenge was to create a heritage themed kit within a color palette, very challenging since all of the colors provided were shades of brown!

To get my kit, and at least 10 more from my fellow (very talented) design contestants get yourself on down to Stone Accents Studio! All you have to do is take a quick minute to sign up for the forum (if you haven't already), and you'll be able to get all the great downloads from the gallery! It's like a blog train, but with all the kits in one handy-dandy place!

The vote starts late tonight (Monday) and runs until Thursday morning, so make sure to stop by and cast your vote for your favorite kits (you aren't limited to just one vote!) and any votes for me are always greatly appreciated!

Little Princess - the Elements and a couple of LOs

Hello everyone! Two posts in one day, wow I'm on a roll LOL!

I want to share a couple of layouts that I made up using the Little Prince kit, the first is using the quick page that is included in the kit. To get the kit, head on over to DigitalArts Cafe and get 5 posts so that you can access the Secret Forum to download Little Prince. And don't worry, it's all free!

While you're there make sure to stop by the Week 3 Polls before Wednesday night and cast your vote!

The photo is of our precious little prince from our 12 week scan, ain't he a little cutie!? I so can't wait to meet him!

The second layout is of my 6 year old being silly after bath time a couple of weeks ago, that kid is such a poser as soon as the camera comes out hehe!

And now down to the freebie! As promised, here is the next installment of Little Princess!

In response to a couple of comments =)

Over the past couple of days I got a couple of comments that I wanted to respond to =)

The first comment was by MaggieM regarding the Spiral Polka links. I want to start off by giving her a huge hug, she was one of the many affected by Hurricane Ike. My thoughts go out to you and everyone that has suffered.

I am so sorry, I didn't realize that the links were only active for the week that they were submitted, and the rules state, "Contestants may blog about their entry, but may not offer their entry for download on any other site except DigitalArts Café during the contest." However, once the contest is finished on October 8th I can share the links again. So Maggie, if you want to email me karyn.clarke (at) sky (dot) com so that I have your email address I will send you download links as soon as I am allowed!

Next I wanted to let Rachel know that I hadn't forgot about her, I've been trying to figure out what's happening with the quick page. I even downloaded the file from 4shared to try it out and it worked fine for me.

I don't know if you've figured it out yet, but I thought of a couple of more things that you can try (although I have XP, not Vista so I don't know if that makes a difference). When you open up the QP .png file if the layer is locked try right clicking the layer in the layer palette, and clicking on Duplicate Layer. That will create another layer on top that won't be locked and you can delete the locked layer. If there is still a solid white square where the photo is meant to go and not the grey and white squares showing through, click on the Magic Wand tool from the toolbar and click inside the frame. Then when you have the "marching ants" showing the selection press Ctrl and X at the same time, that will cut out the white bit.

I hope that helps both of you!

Week 3 Reveal at DAC and a Bonus Freebie

Sorry I haven't posted anything for a couple of days, I've been busy trying to get everything ready for our impending arrival! There's only about 5 weeks left, so I've been washing baby clothes and packing mine and little one's bags for the hospital. Wow, where has all the time gone?!

I've also been busy designing the latest kits for the design contests at Stone Accents Studios and DigitalArts Cafe. A great big thank you to everyone who took the time to get my kit and vote for me! It really means the world to me! Also a huge thank you for all the wonderful comments that everyone left, they really inspire me to keep going. I got through eliminations at SAS, so I made it through to Round 3!! Woohoo! So be on the look-out for yet another kit from me available by Monday!

At DAC this week the challenge was to make a kit with a baby theme, and since I am expecting our second little prince in a few short weeks I thought that I would run with that. You can find the info and previews for Little Prince at the top of my blog, it would be great if you came along to DigitalArts Cafe to grab it! You have to sign up with the forums and post 5 times to access the Secret Forum where the download links are, but it is definitely worth it, there are 5 other kits from very talented designers to grab too! Plus, everyone there is so friendly and supportive! I haven't been doing fantastically with the votes the first couple of rounds, so if you go and download my kit please consider visiting the voting thread and cast a vote for me.

Since my kit centered around a boy theme I thought it would be fitting to offer a coordinating girl's kit as freebies on my blog. For today's download I have a paper pack, and over the next couple of days I will put up the element pack and the alpha.

My very first award, and a freebie!

WOW! I wasn't able to get online yesterday (busy, busy, busy) but when I came online just now I checked my comments, and there was not one, but two of these waiting for me!!

I am totally speechless LOL! This is the first time that I've gotten an award, and to get it twice in one day just blows me away!! Thank you so much!!

The first one came from Rachael at Leahsfrogs Creations and the second one was from Lorelei at Fab D*zines. They both have great blogs with some awesome freebies, so make sure you check them out!

THE RULES for NOMINATION
1.The winner can put the logo on her blog
2. Link the person you received your award from.
3.Nominate at least 7 other blogs.
4.Put links of those blogs on yours.
5.Leave a message on the blogs you’ve nominated.

To follow the rules, here are my 7 nominations:

Allie Brown's Layouts
The Chronicles of Nani
GingerScraps
CU Freebies Only
For Ever More Creations
Vicki's Blog - A Work in Progress
Tirza's Treasures

I also had a question about how to use the quick pages, I'll try to explain this the best that I can, but I'm not the greatest at explanations hehe.

The quick pages come in .png format, just like most elements. The way that I use them is I just drag the photo that I want to use onto the quick page file, and move it backwards (right click on the photo and choose send backwards) so that the the photo is on the layer behind the quick page. I then position and size the photo to best fit in the page.

I hope that helps, Rachel!

And to boot, I have another freebie to coordinate with Spiral Polka, if you're crazy about polka dots, you'll love these!

Spiral Polka Paper Pack Add-on

Hello everyone! I hope you all like my Butterfly Kisses kit! I was having a play around with it and here's a LO that I came up with that matches the QP available with the kit at Stone Accent Studios. The links to get this kit can be found here.

For today's freebie, I have a pack of five papers from Spiral Polka that didn't make it into the final kit! They are grungy papers from when I first started the kit and was going to give it a grunge feel, but ended up going with polka dots and spirals. Make sure to get on over to DAC, get your five posts and grab mine and the six other freebie kits, and don't forget to vote while you're over there!

Butterfly Kisses Reveal

Woohoo!! I've finished the kit for the Next SAS-y Lady contest at Stone Accents Studio, with just over a day to spare! I am really impressed with how well I've been doing meeting deadlines for both contests! Before I started I thought that I might have overloaded myself, but it seams so far that I am coping well!

I also want to thank all of you for your wonderful comments on my blog, 4shared, DAC and SAS! Knowing that my work is appreciated really keeps me motivated to do more!

For this kit there are 20 papers, 20 elements and a quick page! I hope that you can use this kit, and if you like it, it would be really nice if you popped over to vote for me! I'll post the link straight to the votes once the vote begins tomorrow.

Okay, enough rambling, and what you are here for... the previews (with links underneath) to get the kit!

Spiral Polka Quick Page!

Just a quick post from me tonight, I've been busy with my kit for the SAS contest, and need to get some sleep before finishing up the final touches it. If all goes well, I'll have it available for download tomorrow night!

Today's freebie is a quick page that coordinates with Spiral Polka! Hope you like it, and don't forget to leave some love!

Getting down with the Spiral Polka!

It's reveal time again at DigitalArts Cafe, and my contribution is a kit that I called the Spiral Polka. This week was a real challenge for me because the color palette that we had to work from is not a color combination that I would have chosen. I think I did pretty well though considering =)

The instructions of how to get this kit are pretty simple, just sign up with DigitalArts Cafe and post 5 times to access the secret forum, where you will find the download links for Spiral Polka and 6 other great kits from the same color palette. While you're there make sure that you for your favorite (hopefully mine *wink wink*)!

I have my next kit in the making, for the contest at Stone Accents Studio, with a color palette that I absolutely adore! That one has to be finished by Monday, so make sure you check back to grab that one too!

Oh, and over the next few days I will be adding freebies that coordinate with the Spiral Polka, keep an eye out for them!

Celestial Dreams Alpha - Pink

Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I've been busy with the next challenge for DAC, the color palette this week is a real challenge for me, but I'm getting there.

Speaking of challenges... I need your votes, please!! So get yourself on down to Stone Accents Studios and DigitalArts Cafe, grab mine and all the other great freebie kits from the challenges, and vote (for me would be nice)! Just think, the more votes I get, the farther I get in the challenges, the more freebies that I will have to make that you can snag, so really it's a win-win situation!

For today's freebie, I have another addition to the Celestial Dreams saga, an alpha in pink! I hope you like it!

Cherished Memories Freebie Revealed

My gosh, it's a freebie-palooza! Can you tell I've been a wee bit busy this week?!

Last night was the big reveal of the first week of the DESIGN IT! contest at DigitalArts Cafe! So I can now officially reveal the kit here for you all!

The challenge was to make a kit with 5 papers (3 patterned and 2 solid) and 10 elements, with a heritage theme. This is what I came up with! If you want this kit, and 9 other great kits for free, you just have to register at
DigitalArts Cafe (don't worry, it's free) and get 5 posts under your belt to access the "Secret Forum". It's super easy to get your 5 posts, just introduce yourself in the Welcome! forum and say hi to 4 others. You'll then see the "Secret Forum" where you will find the download links for all 10 kits that were submitted.

There aren't being any eliminations in the DAC contest, the votes carry over from week to week. So, each week on a Friday evening for four weeks there will be 10 new free kits for you to download, so definitely worth the signing up and posting 5 times!
And don't forget to vote while you're there!

Click here to be taken to DAC to get your 5 posts
Click here if you already have your 5 posts

And as a big thank you for checking out my entry I have a mini add-on to go with Cherished Memories! Enjoy!

Legacy of a Hero freebie kit now available, and a bonus freebie!

So I finished my entry for the Stone Accents Studio's next SAS-y lady contest today!! I am pretty proud that I was able to finish both contests' first assignments with plenty of time to spare. It makes me feel a lot more confident in my ability to meet a deadline. I also have the weekend off now until the next task is given on Monday at DigitalArts Cafe.

The task for the first week at SAS was to make a kit with 8-12 papers and 8-12 elements with a 'honor our heroes' theme. The kit that I came up with is called 'Legacy of a Hero' and is available for download now, along with about 10 other kits so far and many more to come. There are a wide range of kits, including an astronaut kit, a medical kit and a couple of firefighter's kits, as well as military ones. Make sure you go check them out, the talent is outstanding!

Okay, okay, okay no more rambling *lol* here is the kit, you can either click on the image or the link underneath it to be taken to the download links. I really hope that you like it, and votes would be very much appreciated!!

Click here for the links to download

And just because I am so nice, and had some time (where the heck did I find that?!) I made an alpha that coordinates with both 'Legacy of a Hero' and 'Cherished Memories'.

Layout with Franziska's Dusk Dew!

As I mentioned before, I am on Franziska's guest CT for September (whoo hoo!!!), and the first kit that I get to play with is Dusk Dew (available at Sunshine Studio Scraps and Scrap Orchard). Isn't it just gorgeous with it's earthy tones and hints of newsprint!
Here's the first LO that I did with this fabulous kit - the photos are of my fiance and my son when we went for a day out at the local Nature Reserve last month.

Submitted my first kit! And a freebie for you!

Whooohooo!! I finished and submitted my first contest kit today to DigitalArts Cafe!! And with a day to spare! I'm pretty proud of what I am come up, and I hope you will like it too!

I can't show you what I have done until Friday evening, when all the kits are revealed, but I can offer you up a quick page made with some of the pieces that didn't make it in to the final submission today (and keep an eye out for a freebie or two more that coordinate over the next couple of days)!

Don't forget, if you want to get this kit, and all the other entries, you'll have to sign up (for free) with DigitalArts Cafe and get 5 posts under your belt to access the "secret forum" where the links to the kits will be. Don't be put off with the 5 posts... it's super simple to do, go introduce yourself, and say hello to 4 others, or post in some of the fun threads in Games and Special Occasions. Easy, peasy, one-two-threesy! Honestly, the girls there are so friendly, funny and supportive, you'll love it! And remember to vote while you're there!

Here's the QP that coordinates with the kit to give you a feel of what the kit will be like!

Download here

And here is the LO that I used to make the QP =)

I'm nearly finished with Stone Accents Studio's first contest task as well! That one is due in by Monday evening, but I am hoping to have it done before that, and it will be available as soon as I submit it. Hopefully I will have it done by tomorrow, and I'll have the links up to the forums and you'll be able to get both!

A Layout with Bohemian Rock Candy

It's the first day back at school!! My little guy was sooo excited this morning that he wanted to leave 45 minutes early! Let's hope this attitude continues LOL!

Since I had some quiet time this morning, I played around with Franziska's Bohemian Rock Candy kit - which has gotta be my favorite kit right now! Don't you just love it! It's available at both Sunshine Studio Scraps and Scrap Orchard, and definitely a must-have!

Here's the LO that I came up, the photo is of my son and his cockatiel, Kiki playing before bed.

Busy, busy bee am I!

So much is happening this week! Both design contests have started, and I am well underway with both of the first "assignments".

The kits that I make will be free to download, but instead of getting them from my blog, you'll have to go to each respective forum to get the links. But I will post links to the forums as necessary.

At DigitalArts Cafe you've gotta have at least 5 posts in their forum to access the "secret forum" where the links to the kits will be. It's definitely worth signing up, not only can you get my creations, there are lots of other very talented ladies that you will be able to get free kits from. To make sure you don't miss out on any of the great kits, click here sign up now so you can get your 5 posts.

I have also just joined Franziska Altmann's guest CT for September! I am so excited, she is one of my all-time favorite designers and I am so honored to get to play with her kits!

Now for what you've probably come here for...

The next installment of Celestial Dreams, another add-on, this time in pink!
